ATCERES PAR PROJEKTA IZPĒTES FOTO / RE:PROJECT RESEARCH PHOTOGRAPHY

Londonas slavenā Gaja Foksa Pulvermucas sazvērestības piemiņas/atceres/svinību diena. Šī svinību diena Anglijā, līdzīgi kā Neatkarības diena Amerikā tiek atzīmēta aptuveni nedēļas garumā un tas galvenokārt izpaužas dažāda kalibra salūtu šovos.

Šīs bildes, nebūdamas izcili mākslinieciskas vai tajā baudāmākajā tehniskajā izpildījumā, man tomēr ir tuvas un mīļas, jo tajās ir ļoti patiesi notvertas cilvēcisko emociju izpausmes - mirklīgs, bet dziļš prieks, sajūsma, atvērtība, nepiespiestība.

Bildes uzņēmu kā daļu no universitātes (Goldsmiths, University of London, BA Design) diploma projekta prakstiskās izpētes darba, kura pamattēma (ļoti vispārīgā nozīmē) bija GAISMA. Šeit vēlējos izpētīt un piefiksēt cilvēku reakcijas uz inscinētu gaismas fenomenu.

Guy Fawkes - Bonfire night. These pictures were captured in quite hoirrible shooting conditions in extremely low lighting and in a kind of stealth mode...Therefore I am by no means claiming these pictyures to be excellent works in a technical or even artistic sense, but I love the momentous nature, the captivating element that is in their expressions. It is a beautiful moment of emotional, expressional honesty that adults especially lack...and I believe, also miss.

These pictures were taken as a part of my research for university diploma project (Goldsmiths, University of London, BA Design). The main theme of the project was LIGHT (in the broadest sense of the term) and my objective in this case was to capture and record people's reactions to the manufactured phenomenon of light.
